Ageha Icy Grey Review

ageha circle lens review

After a week I'm finally back with another circle lens to review. This time it's Ageha in Icy grey color, it's from Japan manufactured by Dueba. I got this from Japan Softlens for only around $18 (IDR 178,000) cause they're having 34% off. I was looking for a new gray circle lens with bigger diameter and stumbled into this beautiful circle lens. Japan softlens carries some other Ageha circle lenses, Vivian circle lens, 1 day Loveil circle lens, and even Ayumi Hamasaki eyelashes! I was actually shocked to see a local store selling Ageha circle lens cause I've been dying to try it since early this year after I found it online and the price in that Europe/US online store is really ridiculous I don't think it was worth it. If you visit Japan Softlens website, you can see try classified their Ageha circle lenses into 3 categories, Lunatia series, big eyes series, and model selection series, which is the one I picked. Out of the other series, I find the Ageha Icy grey the most beautiful, not only the color but also the design that I decided to try it. But for your information, Japan Softlens circle lenses are hyped as the most comfortable circle lenses ever that you can wear up to 16 hours without having to use eye drop.

Now let's see if it lives up to the hype.

Tightly bubble wrapped!

Do you know that in Japanese, Ageha means butterfly? The box is super cute with floral deco prints and butterflies. I always have a thing for butterflies and hearts lol. And they send me this cute lipstick miniature as well as a bonus. Believe it or not, only yesterday (after having this lipstick miniature in my drawer for a month or so) that I found out that the lipstick miniature is actually a pen! How cute is that? I swear I thought it was just mere decoration, meant to be a cute display or something but I was wrong. Haha silly me.

The box is seriously prettier in person. As you can see it's manufactured by Dueba Korea and it's approved by KFDA so no worries here.

The packaging isn't in the usual vial bottles but in blisters, which some may say more safer as blisters are disposed immediately after used. You can also see the details and descriptions about the circle lens on the cover. Don't forget to soak the circle lenses in lens solution before using.

Can you see the design looks like sakura flower? Well, that was my first impression upon opening the blisters haha. It looks so pretty with thick black rims.

DESIGN ❤❤❤❤❤
As I state above, I love the design. It looks like sakura petals to me and I'm in love with the design and color combination. You can see the bottom part before the rims look more white and lighter than the rest which I find really pretty. While the design may look a little too much for some, but it also leans toward the natural side as in normal lighting, the lens blends with the natural eye color.

ENLARGEMENT ❤❤❤❤
I normally wear 14.5 - 15 mm circle lens cause I think that's the most natural looking diameter. And I used to avoid more than 15 mm diameter circle lens cause they tend to be less comfortable. But wearing this 16mm Ageha lens makes my eyes look bigger and prettier. And 16mm definitely enlarges eyes, giving you that cute dolly eyes, without making you look creepy. So this, just the right enlargement I need.

COMFORT ❤❤❤❤
I was wrong when I thought circle lens bigger than 15mm is not comfortable, cause apparently different brands and circle lens give you different comfort level. And I must be honest, this doesn't last 16 hours without drying for me, not on my sensitive eyes. I sometimes still have to pour 2 drops at least throughout the day (not everyday though). Maybe cause I always work in office room with air conditioner, plus my eyes are really sensitive. But considering my sensitive eyes and how bigger these lenses are compared to my iris, this circle lens is comfortable, no doubt about it.

OVERALL ❤❤❤❤
With its dolly effect on my eyes plus enough comfort level and natural design that pops out, I wear this circle lens on days when I want to be prettier, like to beauty events, important dates, and meetups. I also wear this to work as well. I have a habit that some of you might know already, I tend to fall asleep after work without washing up and still wearing my contacts, so it happened as well while I still wore this circle lens. I woke up after 2 hours and fortunately my eyes weren't irritated. Another time (last weekend to be exact) I went home
after I hung out with my friend and I felt too lazy to remove my makeup and end up removing my makeup near midnight. I literally slapped some oil cleanser on my face without noticing I still have this circle lens on my eyes cause I forgot I was still wearing them haha. That's how comfortable this circle lens is. Well, anyway, this is the right circle lens if you're looking for enlarging but comfortable circle lens with pretty design that make your eyes stand out.
