Skin Watchers Success Sunblock Review

Hello! It's Christmas Eve, and finally I can sit down and have time to write another review. This time it's another product from Skin Watchers. Few months ago I raved about my most favorite pore mask from this brand which is the Skin Watchers Cooling Pore Mask. It is still my HG pore mask, so I don't have any hesitation trying another product from Skin Watchers when I got the chance. While I don't usually apply sunblock (bad I know) but I was very curious about this sunblock as I read the description online and it seems like an interesting one.

I never felt the need to apply sunblock cause I barely go out under the sun since I'm stuck in an office room nearly all day before the sun comes up and until dawn. The only time I need sunblock was when I had to travel to Bali, since I don't really do outdoor activities either lol. But I know that no matter what, under the sun or not, our skin needs to be protected from the UV. I started to notice my neck is more tanned than my face and chest and I still don't know why. But I guess it has something to do with the sun. So when I got this on the mail a while ago, I was just excited and began using it on my skin and under my makeup everyday before I go out.

Now let's see more about Skin Watchers Success Sunblock after the jump.

Etude House 6th Anniversary & Magic Any Cushion Launching Event

At the end of October, I was invited to Etude House Indonesia 6th Anniversary which also happened to be Etude House Magic Any Cushion launching event. Yes it was nearly 2 months ago so sorry for this late post. I guess some also have read on other beauty bloggers posts lol but for the sake of blogging, I don't think I should skip this belated post.

Once I got there, I scanned the room and saw the adorable pink decorations that were so Etude House. There were some products on display too. Those are the new released products that were being launched. The main purpose of this event is not only to celebrate the 6th anniversary but also the launching of the new Etude House products, like Magic Any Cushion, Play Nail series, Play 101 Pencil, Color Lips Fit, Every Month Cleansing Foam, Skin Note Mask, Mini Perfumes, and Oh Happy Day Hand Bouquet. If you're a follower of Etude House Korea releases, those products might not be entirely new but for Indonesians who don't get the access to Etude House brand new releases, this launching could be a new heaven as there are quite a lot of new arrivals this time. I already tried and reviewed one of the new launched products which is Etude House Play 101 Pencil back then in August, which I really love and adore.

Now, before I get more in details to some of the new releases, I will show you more about the event first.

Missha M Prism Wave Blusher Review

It's been a long while, but hello again everyone! Today I'm back with a new blush review. I think after blogging for nearly 2 years, it's my second time to post a blush review. That's cause I didn't really use a lot of blush in the past. I probably only have around 4-5 blushes in my makeup drawer (it paled in comparison with my foundation/BB/CC creams collection). Anyway, I still remember the first time I got my first ever blush when I was in high school. I got a pink blush from Missha and I was in love with it until it emptied and I couldn't afford a new one cause it was around $30 back then and as a student I couldn't really get a new one lol. So relieving those sad sweet moments in the past, I got another pink blush from Missha. It's called Missha M Prism Wave Blusher. The pink shade was nearly similar to the first blush I had before. Actually my past blushers have been pigmented and too pigmented which is actually great for photoshoot. But not so great when I go out cause then people would stare lol. So this time around, I think I would try a more sheer blusher and picked this one. And compared to my first ever blush, this blush is way way more affordable. So before I babble more nonsense, let's just go to the full review and pictures.

Let's Stay Connected and Band Together

Probably some of you know (as I mentioned before) that I never let go of my phone. Not even when I'm outside, walking, on the way to some places (not driving though), and basically anywhere. I can't be separated with my phone. People around me think I'm too attached to my phone and I know it. While I also like to read and follow some websites, check and reply emails, and social media, the top reason why I need my phone is to communicate with friends. I have several friends I chat with everyday on several different apps, which can be confusing for me and sometimes I tend to forget which messages I haven't checked and replied since I have too many chat apps. And with all those chat apps running in the background, it really drains my phone battery.

I've always asked myself how neat would it be to have all of them in one app? But then my friends have different phones and preferences. Some don't like the apps I like, some say the app I chose didn't work that well on their phone, while some prefer the app they always use.

But then I found BAND. It is more than just a group app for me and let me show you why.

Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 Billy Tjong ft. WRP

Like I mentioned on my previous post, I attended the Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 to watch Bow by Billy Tjong show. And this time I will share more about the dresses he designed that was inspired by WRP. As WRP is a diet milk, Billy Tjong designed his pieces in WRP trademark color, orange ish red to emphasize the slim figure. He came up with many dresses that are chic and fabulous but still casual and comfortable to wear. The first photo is one of my favorite dresses, along with this collage below.

UROCKS Jakarta Fashion Week 2015 by Billy Tjong ft. Heavenly Blush

Two weeks ago I attended the annual Jakarta Fashion Week. I was invited by Female Daily to attend the UROCKS UFM Fashion Week by Heavenly Blush, WRP and Bow by Billy Tjong. I don't normally enjoy high fashion so I was glad to see some casual and street fashion. That night Billy Tjong presented three of his collections, one of them was inspired by Heavenly Blush. They're more wearable in my opinion and I like the simple but catchy design with the colorful splatters.

Missha The Style Moisture Coating Tint Review

Finally, another lippie review. Or maybe you're like... lippie again? Sorry I just have more lip products recently and I'm still not done trying and sharing them all with you. This time, it's from Missha. I'm sure everyone is familiar with Missha by now. Normally I don't really check out Missha that often, and actually it's been a while since I browsed Missha products simply because other brands fascinated me more. But this time around, I saw they released this Missha The Style Moisture Coating Tint. Yes, tint. Tint products can be debatable for me. Though I own a few lip tint products but I still prefer lipsticks all day everyday. But then the color Cotton Pink, which I got, was just too lovely and the word "moisture" got me in. There was not much information back then when I pondered if I should try this. But the color alone already pulled me in. If you follow me on facebook, you'd know that I was going to share my favorite lippie of the month. This is the one, Missha Moisture Coating Tint in Cotton Pink.

Now let's see the pictures shall we.

Halloween Creepy Doll Makeup Tutorial

While last year I dressed up as dark Alice in Wonderland, this Halloween I try to be a little different. Usually I want to look dolly wherever I go, Halloween or not. I always see others with creepy painted face on Halloween, which I adore but I know I will never be able to do it on my own. I mean, sure it's scaring people but I don't want to look that different cause the most important thing (for me) is the costume and overall look. I don't really like covering my face with paints that I wouldn't recognize myself. While it's really cool, but it's just not me. But again I wanna do a little different kind of dolly this year. So I thought I should "ruin" my face a little while still keeping the dolly look.

As I've never done this kinda of face ruining before, I admit I was scared it would turn out bad and not sure if it can be considered creepy. I hope it is! But I really like the results as I can still tell it's me but with a different look. Maybe it's just me though lol. But yeah I include a makeup tutorial video after the jump.

Vassen Rainbow Eyes Purplish Red Circle Lens Review

Purple is one of my most favorite colors. I only had one pair of violet circle lens before. It was pretty but the diameter was a bit too small for me, and I converted to bigger diameter circle lenses instead. As much as I like to look not natural aka different, I have to admit that it's more convenient to wear circle lens with natural look so people won't stare that much and think I'm weird, especially at work. However, it is important for me to still keep the "different" part so that I don't look the same as other people. And that's how this circle lens has become my daily circle lens somehow.

As you may have known, Vassen is so far my top brand when it comes to circle lens. I always recommend anyone I know to get them as it's the most comfortable (at least for me) with prettiest colors and designs. And today I will recommend another great Vassen circle lens to you. It's not opaque purple, but as the name suggests, it's purplish red. The red doesn't really visible but the gradation still looks really nice and pretty.

Keep reading to see more of this circle lens.

YSL Rouge Volupte #15 Lipstick Review

I'm sure most people own at least one YSL lipstick nowadays. And I'm sure everyone knows what they are and its swatches already. But I still feel the need to share one of my HG lipsticks ever. I remember last year I was so obsessed with coral lips and I tried to find some coral lipsticks, which to be honest mostly disappointed me. Probably cause I have pigmented lips so most coral lipstick didn't look coral on me, either too orange or too sheer. So I completely gave up coral and kinda jumped ship to purple lips. But around last Christmas I managed to purchase this little beauty YSL Rouge Volupte Lipstick no 15. I only got to try it recently though and the moment I swatched it on the back of my hand, I'm in love!

Now let's see more of this lippie.

25 Years of Pond's White Beauty Event

On September 16th I was invited to Pond's White Beauty 25th Anniversary event which was held at Mulia Hotel, Jakarta. When I received the invitation I actually was amazed cause I didn't know it's been 25 years. I remember when I used Pond's cleansing milk and toner the first time when I was in high school. I didn't think much of it as it was the only good quality cleansers I could get in the drugstore. Even until now I still use the toner occasionally (cause I have a lot of toners). And over the past years Pond's released many of their products like moisturizers, BB creams, anti aging skincare, etc. Only last year I was introduced to Pond's White Beauty moisturizers on Pond's White Beauty event I attended last year and started using them. I especially like the night moisturizer as it's not heavy and moisturizing.

Anyway, if you don't know already, Pond's is a global brand which was established since 1846. Pond's Extract was created by Theron Tilden Pond, that was also recognized as Pond's Golden Treasure. It was the first skincare which had moisturizing and skin reparation properties. On 1907 Pond's became the first brand that introduced cleansing and skincare regime, day and night regime, pink and white complexion with anti aging benefits. Pond's White Beauty had been tried and tested clinically and also to many different types of skin in Indonesia which answered Indonesian women needs which is a skincare that's not sticky and greasy, absorb quickly, and comfortable and easy to use in this humid weather. Pond's White Beauty currently have 4 different types: for all skin types, for acne prone skin with spotless complex, for sensitive skin with green tea extract and the last one is for people who needs more sun protection. For more information of Pond's White Beauty, you can read here

Now let me show you more about the event.

Cute Handmade and Personalized Hair Bows

Hello everyone! I'm back with a post on cute bows. I don't know since when but I started collecting hair bows for a while now. I remember it all started when I went to baby shop to find a gift for a niece and I ended up buying baby hair bows for myself. I don't know if it sounds weird but hair bows in baby shops are just so adorable and when I playfully tried it on, I saw a new light lol. Back then when wearing hair accessories like huge hairband or even flowers and bows was considered ridiculous by some people around me, I tried to restrain myself from wearing them in public often but I still purchased some cute bows I could find here and there. Now that I'm older, I think I don't care anymore about what people might or might not say about what I wear and do, and I keep getting more bows.

The thing about bows here is there are only limited numbers of bows I like cause the cutest ones are usually not available here. There are some online shops in Indonesia that sell cute bows, but most of them aren't to my liking. I mean I seriously love big frilly bows, and unique ones of course. I don't like standard bows that everyone wears. I can be quite picky when it comes to the accessories I wear. So I was ecstatic when I found a bow shop called Pog Bow that sells ridiculously adorable bows. Back then they were a new shop I think, but I didn't hesitate to try to buy a pair of bows (which I wore for my previous review) and they didn't disappoint me. Then I started getting more cause apparently they accepted custom orders. Yay!

Aikatsu Indonesia Launching Event

Last week I attended an event that was held on JKT48 theater in FX mall. I'm actually quite picky when picking event invitations. While usually I attended beauty related events, I just couldn't not attend this Aikatsu launching event. Mainly because I watched the anime before and I really liked it. Ever since watching Love Live anime, I quite enjoy watching idol related anime including Aikatsu. Let me give you a brief story about Aikatsu.

Elishacoy Always Perfect CC Cream Review

I have to admit CC creams aren't really my thing cause of the lack of coverage they offer. But Elishacoy Always Nuddy CC cream is one of my favorites as I stated in my review last year. This year, the moment I saw Elishacoy got new CC cream which is Always Perfect CC Cream, I just had to get it. I saw the descriptions and details from Wishtrend page, and I know how promotional pictures tend to be different but I guess it was an impulse purchase (I tend to purchase things online on impulse in the middle of the night). I actually got this in the mail around April and tried it immediately and didn't like it. But after few months now I decided to give it another try since I barely tried it properly back then. And to my surprise, I must say this is now the best CC cream I ever tried. Probably cause it suits my current skin condition but I'm going to share more details about this product on today's review and let you know why I'm in love with this CC cream.

If you don't know already, Elishacoy is a Korean cosmetics and skincare brand. It's probably not as mainstream as Etude House and other brands but Elishacoy released some nice products. Some of their best selling products are the BB creams, CC creams, cushion, and their 3D spin cleaner. My previous Elishacoy CC cream review got over 6000 views and I see Elishacoy Always Nuddy CC cream google search daily from my blog traffic reports, that shows this brand receives some attention already and nowadays some online Korean stores carry Elishacoy products too. I remember Wishtrend was one of the very few stores that have Elishacoy on their product list up until early 2013 if I'm not mistaken.

Anyway, less rambling, and let's see if this Always Perfect CC Cream can perfect my skin!

Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizing Face Wash, Lotion and Milk Review

As someone who's been trying to get rid of excess oil on my face since forever, I've never really bothered to moisturize my face before. I mean I do apply moisturizer in the morning, for the sake of flawless makeup. But at night, well I only apply moisturizer when I have time or when my brain doesn't fail me. I've always thought and felt that moisturizer or any toner and face wash with moisturizing properties would just make my face greasier.....until I saw patchy flaky areas around my nose and cheeks lately and it looked so yuck especially with makeup on. I still have rather oily nose but plus the flakiness. While my conditioning lotion that acts as a primer helps, but I want something more moisturizing for the night. After looking up online, I found some good reviews on Hada Labo Indonesia Hyaluronic Acid series. I've known Hada Labo since quite a while ago but I seriously invested more to makeup than skincare. The only skincare products I actually purchased are probably pore related products, aside of daily facial wash and oil free toner. But I was googling and found these products on Nihonmart Kosmetik Jepang Online, an Indonesian based store that carries many Japanese skincare products especially Hada Labo. Though I always see Hada Labo products on drugstores but usually I'm more interested in any products when I see them online lol so I just had to try them.

Anyway, this range has been around for a long while and it's one of their best selling products as it is said to be sold 1 every 2 seconds in Japan. How convincing is that? Well, considering the amount of good reviews I read it totally convinced me to try. I got the facial wash, lotion (Japanese toners are usually called lotions), and moisturizing milk. Hyaluronic Acid is known as a carbohydrate occurring naturally throughout the human body. But with age, the ability of the skin to produce Hyaluronic Acid decreases, that is why HA is said to be beneficial and often found in skincare products as an excellent moisturizer. So today I'll be reviewing Hada Labo Gokujyun Hyaluronic Acid Face Wash, Light Lotion, and Milk.

14 Days Blackheads Remover - B.liv Off with Those Heads Review

Sebaceous glands, blackheads, whiteheads, clogged pores. Those are my main skin concerns aside of acne. No matter how diligent I am with my face cleansing ritual, there are always those oil "plugs" blocking my pores. Since I tried my cooling pore mask, I've been restraining myself from using harsh nose strips. I've stopped using nose strips since last year actually cause they just make my pores even worse. I also tend to break out around my nose so nose strips are simply forbidden. Then how do I usually get rid of my hardened sebaceous glands and whiteheads? I use blackhead extractor to push and squeeze the gunk in my pores, which honestly painful and only make my skin more irritated and normally give me acne the following day. So I can only use the extracting tool as gentle as I can to avoid acne. But pressing the blackhead extractor gently doesn't really clean those stubborn blackheads and clogged pores so I'm always frustrated when I'm seeing my pores. The Skinwatchers pore mask is still my favorite (I still use it twice a week) and it does help cleansing my pores, but obviously it can't pluck the stubborn heads and I still refuse to use nose strips, though Laneige nose strips are much more gentle but again gentle strips can't take all the stubborn blackheads.

I was introduced to this magical b.liv off with those heads by cellnique, a product that promises to remove all those nasty gunk and dirt off our pores. I read about this product on my friend, Sakuranko's blog around last year. At first I thought it was some kind of heating gel that opens up the pores so the heads can be removed easier. But it's actually a cooling gel that claims to remove blackhead and whitehead, keep acne under control, control oil, unclog pores, exfoliate gently with soothing and hydrating properties. With such strong claims, I was hoping this product isn't over hyped and does at least half of its claims. Well, I was wrong cause this product does all of those claims on me. It's a really nice gel that clears up most of my old, deep, and hard to remove blackheads. And it's not painful at all.

Now let's see how this product is able to do all of that. Gross result pictures alert!

Hana Village Mini Haul

It's been over a year since my last haul post lol I'm always so lazy because I tend to just open the package and products I got right away, and photograph the products individually. But this time I got few products from the same store, which is Hana Village, so I got all of them together and decided I can write a haul post yay!

Hana Village is a new online store that carries a lot of circle lens brands, makeup, hair and skincare products like Dolly Wink, Hada Labo, Koji, Liese, Candy Doll, My Beauty Diary and more. Since they're new I guess they don't have many products yet, except for Dolly Wink cause they have almost everything including the new released series as well. I find this store pretty nice as I don't know many online stores that carry mostly Japanese cosmetics with tons of circle lenses, plus free shipping. They also have my favorite circle lens brand, i.Fairy. I actually ordered Candy Doll blushes and lippies but they were out of stock, but communication was great as Hana Village customer service kept me up to date and I decided to change my order to eyebrow mascara and eyelashes with no problem. I got my package in the mail within less than 2 weeks and couldn't be happier when I unboxed it~ ^^

Now let's see closer what I ordered from them.

KKcenterHK Natural Eyelashes Review

When it comes to eye makeup, most of the time I don't really need to apply much as long as I put on cat eyeliner and thick eyelashes. I guess I'm just too used to my dramatic gyaru eye makeup wherever I go that I can't really see myself with natural eyelashes. Wearing natural lashes means I have to tone down my usual thick liner, and that's not an easy thing to do for me.

Today, I'm going to share 2 eyelashes reviews. Both are considered natural looking in my book but I guess one of them from Ardell doesn't look that natural and still have that dramatic gyaru look.

Now let's see how good they are and how I look like with the natural lashes on.

Wedding Dresses and Bridal Fashion Inspiration

Hello guys! Instead of product reviews, today I'll be sharing my inspiration post. I know I should do this kind of post more often with my possibly gyaru inspiration (coming soon). But now, starting with bridal fashion. Why wedding dress? Because... I'm getting married. Haha no I'm kidding. Usually I always avoid browsing wedding dresses because it still felt like so far away and I didn't want to drool over something that wasn't going to be mine anytime soon. But ever since a little while ago I began to pin some cute wedding dresses and wedding ideas on my pinterest. And after my boyfriend's latest visit I guess it wouldn't hurt to look for more cute wedding dresses.

Speaking of wedding dresses, I prefer cute and girlish bridal fashion instead of elegant-like dresses. Fairytale princesses are probably my main idols when it comes to bridal fashion. Materials don't really matter to me as long as the skirt is puffy with some cute decoration like bows or lace. Though long ball gown dress is super cute, but I guess I'll go with short puffy skirt. Thinking of my wedding day, I think the venue wouldn't matter much to me, but the most important thing is definitely the princess dress. I would love to be a real princess for that one day (and will turn back into dirt bum the next day lol).

Here's some of my favorite wedding dresses that I found:

Etude House Play 101 Pencil Review

A while ago we all know Etude House released Play 101 Pencil in 50 shades. I might be a little late to post this delayed review (I blame the long holiday) but I've been loving the pencils since I got it about couple months ago. It's such a lovely product with 5 different textures: creamy, glittery, glossy, matte and shimmering. I picked the glossy ones, no 22 and 25 in red and hot pink. All the colors are so gorgeous I had a hard time picking. Anyway, sometimes stuffing lipsticks, eyeliner, blusher, eyeshadow and other makeup products in one pouch can take a lot of space. But Etude House comes up with this idea of the multipurpose pencils, one pencil which can be used for your whole face. How neat is that?

Keep on reading to see my take on this product ^^

Stila Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner Review

Whenever someone asks me which makeup I can't go without, I'd definitely answer eyeliner right away. So when I lost my HG eyeliner, Kanebo Kate Super Sharp Liner, last month I panicked cause I had no backup eyeliner. And the Kate liner isn't available in Indonesia unfortunately. I've been using it for the past year and I didn't want to look for another, and clearly it was wrong of me. I should've stored a backup liner. There are so many brush liners that look like Kate's but after reading many reviews I decided I should just grab the one with higher quality and I found Stila. I've heard good things from Stila products. But I'm quite picky when it comes to eyeliners. I want opaque black with felt tip that stays all day and smudgeproof. From the product name and description, it seems Stila All Day Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner was what I was looking for, though the price kinda bugged me at first. But hey I didn't have much choice and this was the best I could find, so I decided to just order it.

Damoae Treatment Shampoo and Tonic for Dry Scalp and Anti Hair Fall

Many people ask me how I treat my long hair and why my hair is still so thick and long even when I bleached it savagely several times a year. I always tell them that I don't specifically treat my hair and don't do anything special for my damaged hair. People don't believe me. I guess I am blessed with natural thick hair, which I'm so grateful for. But with severe hair bleaching and dyeing, and lack hair trimming (I love to have freakishly long hair cause I feel like a mermaid lol) made me realize I need to start taking care of my hair cause especially since I start bleaching my own hair this year, I do notice I lose some of my hair. Hair strands everywhere around the drain when I'm washing my hair. Either because it's too long, tangled, or too damaged. And just 2 months ago my hair snapped after I left the bleach for too long and now I have spiky mini mohawk on top of my head, which I manage to cover with the side of my hair. Fortunately I have too many hair that it's not that noticeable. The other concern I have with continuous severe bleaching is dry dry scalp. I have almost no natural oil on my scalp. It's just so dry and... well dry, that it often peels and looks disgusting.

And just in time, I got the chance to try the amazing therapy shampoo and tonic specially made to prevent hairfall which also moisturizes and soothes dry scalp and skin. It's a Korean brand called Damoae.

What is DAMOAE? Damoae is made of natural Chinese medicinal herbs that can be ingested, and there for is not harmful to the body. This product is patent proven to increase hair count as well as effectively treat dandruff and has been approved by the KFDA as a hair loss prevention product that increases hair growth and thickness. Damoae consists of 17 natural herbs used in Chinese medicine, including dried orange peels, aloe, and peppermint. These ingredients work together to perform the most ideal medical action on the scalp to prevent hair loss and treat dandruff at the same time. By continuously using Damoae, you can see improvement in the following areas: hair loss, dandruff, scalp itchiness, seborrheic dermatitis, damaged hair, and more! Your scalp will feel clean and your hair will feel luxuriously thick and smooth!

Pretty strong claim? Yes it sounds too good to be true. I've been trying the two products for 2 months now that I can share what I think about them on today's post. But keep reading to see if it lives up to its claims.

Vassen Butterfly Grey Circle Lens Review

Hey everyone! After being mia for over a week, I'm finally back with a new circle lens review. As you may know already, Vassen is my HG brand when it comes to circle lens. Their lenses are simply the most comfortable on my eyes, and they always have pretty and unique designs too! I seriously swear by it if you're looking for comfortable circle lens with unique and beautiful colors and design.

This time I will be reviewing another Vassen circle lens, which is Vassen Butterfly in grey color. It's become one of my most used circle lenses after I received it 2 weeks ago. If you follow me on my social media, you probably have seen it too and keep reading to see more about this lovely circle lens.

White Red Lacy Dolly Look

Hello everyone! So glad to be back to blogging. I'm still on vacation but there are just so many pending posts that I decided to be back momentarily to write a post. It's another outfit post. If you saw my posts a while ago on facebook and instagram with dolly look, it was actually taken specifically for this post. I received this lovely dress from Lolita Dresses Online. Though I love lolita fashion but the truth is it's hard to be a full pledged lolita wearing all lolita getup in my country. And that is why I picked this dress. It's a bit lolita esque but more wearable outside with lots of bows and lace.

Keep reading to see more of this dress.

Maybelline X CL Daring Red Inspired Makeup Tutorial

Hello again, everyone! Some of you who've been following me on instagram and facebook must have seen couple of pictures of me in daring red lips. I got some compliments saying I look different and it suits me, but the look is actually me recreating CL's #1 makeup look she did on her Maybelline New York ads. Maybelline New York released some new products with hot colors like daring red, vibrant hot pink, and bright orange. Lately I've been collecting too many pink lippies, so I guess it's time to do a look featuring red lips.

Though I look nothing like CL, I'm still amazed how different makeup style can change my look so much. I'm digging this look, though obviously it's not casual everyday look but I felt like someone new when I was taking the photos lol. Keep reading to see how I recreate CL's Daring Red makeup, along with full step by step tutorial video after the jump.

Laneige Water Supreme Primer Base Review

It is true that I always say prep and prime before applying your makeup, but I've kinda stopped using primer a while ago thanks to my pores. I have few oil free and pore concealing primers in my drawers and been trying and using them (not all at once) regularly everytime before I apply BB cream/foundation. For someone with combination oily skin and tons of humongous pores, primer has been a big part of my makeup routine. However, I also notice that many (if not all) of my oil free & pore filling and concealing primers actually make my nose and cheeks (the areas with visible pores) look patchy and weird once BB cream/foundation is applied and settled. No matter how helpful primer is to make my makeup last longer and help to mattify my face, it's just not worth it when the primer makes my makeup look uneven and not flawless. My other gripe with primers is it's hard to find primers that don't break me out. So I literally dropped primers from my makeup routine....

....Until I tried Laneige Water Supreme Primer Base. I got this from my friend Fio on my birthday last month. I know this product has been released for a while and I never really had any intention to try it cause Laneige is on the pricier side and I had my ultimate oil free primers that I trusted for my face already. But since it's a gift, I was both excited and curious if this product worth the price. Laneige released 3 different colors of this Water Supreme Primer Base. There are light pink, light purple, and light green. Mine is light green. The light green shade is said to correct redness (which I have a lot). While light pink is to give healthy glow and rosy finish, and light purple is to correct yellow skin. From what I know all three do brighten skin too. Light green definitely brightens up my complexion aside of lightens my redness and gives some moisture, which is a plus. But now let's see how this product really works and why I love it.

How I Got Platinum Blonde Hair

Hello everyone! Since I posted my hair update last year I kept thinking to make another hair update, but then I got caught up with stuff and apparently it's been a year. I had several hair color changes within a year lol. And many people request me to make how to bleach tutorial and also how I got light blonde hair. I've been saying "yes I will" but only now I can spare some time to write a post on my hair.

As you can see, I've tried and changed to different shades of blond in a year. Mainly cause I get bored easily and trying which shade suits me the most. For people who ask me how I got platinum shade, unfortunately I couldn't take step by step pictures while I was bleaching my hair. Simply because I was underhanded and I had nobody at home that could help me with bleaching or take pictures. So I'm going to try to explain how I got it and which products I used.

Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control Review

laneige bb cushion pore control

Apparently, my cushion fever hasn't ended yet. And today I will be reviewing my new cushion baby, Laneige BB Cushion Pore Control. I'm sure most people know Laneige by now. But in case you don't, Laneige is a Korean brand under Amore Pacific. Etude House, Innisfree, Hera, and more brands are under the same company. Whenever I see Laneige products in store, I always see Song Hye Gyo pictures and her fantabulous flawless skin which I wish I have lol.

Anyway, from the name alone it's already a big hint that this product is a cushion specialized for people with pore issues. I've heard too many positive and great things about Laneige previous cushion products, Snow BB and the normal BB cushion. There are massive reviews on those products but early this year Laneige released new cushions, the renew BB cushion with 6 in 1 features and Pore Control BB cushion. I know many Singaporean bloggers have raved about them but only now I can personally try it out (after drooling for a while lol).

This is my 6th cushion and I must say I'm very impressed with this product cause this is the first cushion I try so far that gives soft matte finish! It was specially made with people with oily skin and pores problems in mind. Thank you, Laneige! Well as the name suggests, this BB cushion is (almost) like BB cream in the form of cushion. It contains the product beneath the sponge. And this Pore Control BB Cushion claims to have 6 main functions, to control oil and pore, UV protection, pore coverage, long lasting power without oxidizing and no cakey with its strong resistant against sebum and sweat, soothing effect with its cooling sensation, and more importantly soft matte finish which is perfect for people with combination oily skin. That's such a strong claim in my book, but we'll see if it lives up to its claims.

2NE1 CL Come Back Home Makeup Tutorial

Hello guys. This is a long awaited and delayed post but finally it's here. This time I also collaborated with my friends for this makeup tutorial. We've been planning for this makeup tutorial since 2 months ago actually but Kathy has been so busy with school and exams but now that everything's done, we are finally able to post this tutorial. Previously we also recreated 2NE1's Happy inspired makeup tutorial which you can read here.

Come Back Home was actually released around 4 months ago. Wow has it been that long? And the MV reached almost 18 million views (cause it's awesome). And this time I also will recreate CL's makeup. I honestly would prefer Bom's makeup cause it's kinda hard to perfectly recreate CL's eye makeup cause I don't have monolids unfortunately T_T But I dig CL's eye makeup so much that I feel so challenged everytime I'm trying her eye makeup lol. I'm still not perfect at it, but I did my best for CL's look on this MV.

Kawaii Box Review

Monthly subscription boxes are popular nowadays. Most subscription boxes I eye on are makeup boxes, but I've never knew there's a Kawaii Box. Well when I heard monthly "kawaii" box, all I imagined was... kawaii goodies in one box every month, how great is it? Kawaii box is a monthly subscription service with unique handpicked cute items. Every month they have different theme and items. I'm sure people who collect kawaii items or love anything kawaii in general (I'm one of those people) would be super pleased to have a kawaii box filled of 10-12 cute items from Japan and Korea delivered in front of their door every month.

Then when I received the box in the mail (if you followed me on facebook you've probably seen it already), I could only squeal in delight. First thing I saw was the too cute card and pink wrapping paper. Then I unwrapped it and saw a glimpse of pink lace, pink octopus plushie, and rilakkuma. Yes, I'm sold. I was at work so I couldn't beast out and drool as I unbox it like a maniac. I had to hold it in and do it once I got home.

Keep reading to see what's inside the box.

V10 Plus Water Based Peeling Review

I wear makeup everyday, also on the weekends up to 8-12 hours. Though I cleanse my face regularly, removing all those makeup with 3 religious cleansing steps which followed skincare routine, it's not secret that my skin is still not free from acne, clogged pores and skin problems. I've been told that my skin needs to be exfoliated and this year probably I haven't done any. My pores and skin are getting a lot better nowadays thanks to my favorite pore mask, Skin Watchers Cooling Pore Mask and other AC products. But whenever I'm applying makeup, I notice some areas of my skin are flaky and I see some buildup. And I finally know, I need to exfoliate immediately cause weekly skin renewal is important for my skin.

I've always thought twice when I wanted to use facial scrubs and exfoliator. Cause I have sensitive skin and basic scrubs and exfoliator tend to irritate my skin and instead of removing dead skin cells, I'd usually get even more breakout and redness. So I'm really thankful to be introduced to V10 Plus best selling product, Water Based Peeling. V10 is a Japanese skincare brand and their award winning products are probably not unfamiliar for some people. The Water Based Peeling also recently got Beauty Awards from Cosmopolitan. From the name it's obvious this product is water based, which means it won't be harsh on my skin, which also means it'd be a perfect choice for my sensitive acne prone skin. And I'm right.

Casual Black OOTD

There are times (many times actually) I don't really care what I wear. Most of my friends (and non friends) see me in girly frilly outfits with puffy skirt and tons of bows or/and floral accents. It's almost necessity now since I really like himekaji style. But when I don't feel like dressing up and just not in the mood for floral and girly look, I normally wear black and whatever style. If you see my wardrobe, it's dominated by black after all.

There are also times I don't have time to wash my hair lol, as I usually need 1 hour just to wash my long and heavy hair (and spend another 2-3 hours for makeup alone lol). And when I'm having bad weird hair day and no time to iron my hair (and have to go out), I just have to style my hair into twin braids. How lazy!

This is how I look and dress myself during those lazy days.

Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation Review

For years I've been using matte foundations because I have combination oily skin. Lately my skin is less oily, but I still suffer from redness and hyper pigmentation. My friend is a Bourjois fan and she keeps telling me how great Bourjois foundations are, almost all the time. So the next time I went to the mall, I visited Bourjois counter and looked around. When the BA recommended me this Bourjois 123 Perfect Foundation, I tried it on my hand and I had to admit I loved the shade and coverage. This foundation claims to correct tones with its yellow, mauve and green pigments to eliminate dark circles, dull complexion and redness. It sounds too good to be true, especially with the 16 hours lasting power claim. Having acne and scarring, I didn't expect much from this product but I have to say that I just loveee the shade, since I usually get wrong foundation shade for stupid reasons.

Now let's move on to the review, and see why I use this foundation almost everyday now.

Holika Holika Pro: Beauty Tint Tok Review

Hello guys, as you can see from the title and picture, I'm going to review another lavender lip product. Yes, I'm obsessed with lavender lippies. I actually got this product the day it was released, so it was a while ago. I just couldn't find the time to write this review yet until now. Anyway, ever since Holika Holika Heartful Lipstick that I really love, I've been monitoring Holika Holika lippies releases. So the moment I saw the promotional picture for this product, Holika Holika Pro: Beauty Tint Tok with lavender color, I just couldn't miss it.

I'm actually more used to lipstick and not really a fan of lip tints. But this Holika Holika lippie comes with a cushion so I thought it would be pretty much like Aritaum Wannabe Cushion Tint. I was wrong though. This product is a much more interesting product. It's a lip tint, with cushion, but the cushion acts as the tint. Get what I mean? No? Well, keep reading to see more of this product ^^

Geo Grang Grang Big Choco Review

I did mention on my last circle lens review, that I was looking for natural circle lens without fancy color and design. And I finally decided to try Geo Grang Grang Big Choco circle lens since I heard really great things about this circle lens from many friends. Back then I never wanted a super natural circle lens, simply because my eyes look dead in black or plain dark brown circle lens. But there are those days that I don't want to attract stares and attentions at work, especially since my hair already makes people go o_O here. It's been a while since I last used Geo lenses. Ever since I discovered the pretty and comfortable circle lens brand, that is Vassen/i.Fairy, I kinda forgot about Geo until now. Most Geo lenses I tried were comfy so I didn't hesitate to try Grang Grang lens. I'm really glad I gave this lens a try cause it makes my eyes look natural brown, and it's great for people with natural dark brown eyes.

Dolly 2 Tone Ash Blonde Orange Wig

ash blonde brown dolly wig

Hello guys I'm back with another wig review. As usual, when looking for a decent wig, I always look at the color, natural looking hair style, and material. Since my last wig was more of a natural straight style (though the color wasn't so natural cause it stood out), this time I go for the dolly style. I have ultra long hair that might scare children, and I had bad experience few years ago after cutting it super short (around neck length) I promised myself to never cut my hair short again. But then sometimes when wearing certain dress I don't want my long thick hair to cover my dress (and I'm totally uncomfortable when my hair is up) so I thought a shorter wig would be lovely. And I found this amazingly gorgeous wig.

Since last week I've been posting my photos wearing the wig on my social media, and finally it's time to share about this wig on my blog. This is my favorite wig I have so far. Keep reading to find out more about this lovely wig!
